Saturday 16th April will go down in the historical corridors of my mind as a brilliant sparkly jewel.
A morning spent amongst bright people and a talk by an 84 year old who one year ago had visited Greenland, Iceland and shown us slides of Polar Bears and natures ice sculptures so beautiful with the glow of light upon them, translucent and majestic.
This shamed my own personal recent thoughts of being dead old and losing my power. Here was an exmple of a lady that was living every moment and intending to have adventure until her last breath.
The evening then took me to our library where another friend was launching her book of poems, verse that was lovingly written over several years, saved and collected piece by precious piece, then edited to be put into print with the shiny cover and smell of a fresh newness.
I am inspired by these achievments and can live many more days to be creative and to not give up this gift of life we are given, to use my time constructively.
